ITURO 2014

ITU Robotic Olympics in 2014, on April 10-11-12 took place in Suleyman Demirel Cultural Center located on the Ayazaga Premises. During ITURO in 2014, 294 of 583 pre-registered  projects has competed in 11 different categories which are Micro-Sumo, Line Following, Vacuum Cleaning, Fire Fighting, Self-Balancing, Maze, Basketball, Colour Selecting, Stair Climbing, Scenario and  Innovative Category.

The fastest ballbot REZERO built by Peter Frank Hauser and Michael Neuert from Zurich Technical University received great attention from visitors and competitors alongside, the exhibition robot of our sponsor Staubli.

İTÜRO 2014,was held with participation of around 90 universities and high schools and more than 10.000 visitors willing to attend seminars, causeries and panel discussions. It aroused interest in many promotion mediums especially in social media and ITURO also appeared in visual and written media with many news. 30 project in total were awarded and competitors of innovative category had the chance to display their robots in media.

As in previous ITURO’s in ITURO 2014 panels, causeries, and seminars were organized and attracted considerable attention of both competitors and visitors.  The topics and speakers of seminars, causeries and panels in ITURO 2014 are as follows.

In addition to these; in the second day of the event a boat tour in Bosporus took place and in the last day after award ceremony ITURO 2014 ended with the dinner in honour of participants in Beşiktaş Akademi Restaurant.
